Job summary

Lineage in Tremonton, Utah is seeking a hands-on maintenance technician who enjoys solving mechanical problems and keeping facilities safe and efficient. You will work on mechanical/electrical systems, refrigeration, and material handling equipment, with a training period before transitioning to a swing shift.

Expect to perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and inspections, using hand and power tools, and to work at heights in cold storage environments.

Qualifications

  • 1 year of maintenance experience or trade school experience.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn.
  • Able to troubleshoot equipment and perform preventative maintenance with minimal supervision.
  • Comfortable working at heights and around lifts to access elevated areas.
  • Comfortable in cold storage environments up to -20°F with PPE.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on facility equipment, machinery, and building systems.
  • Maintain and repair mechanical and electrical equipment to keep operations running safely and reliably.
  • Troubleshoot sensors, switches, push buttons, and other automated equipment.
  • Perform basic inspections and repairs on refrigeration systems.
  • Complete preventative maintenance on material handling equipment, including conveyors and other powered equipment.
  • Use hand and power tools to diagnose and repair equipment.
  • Operate lifts and other equipment to safely access and maintain equipment at heights.
  • Document maintenance, inspections, and repairs in the appropriate systems.
  • Communicate equipment issues and maintenance needs to facility leadership.
  • Follow all company and regulatory safety standards.

Job description

Are you a hands-on problem solver who enjoys working with equipment, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and keeping a facility running safely and efficiently? If you have a mechanical or maintenance background and are comfortable learning new equipment, this could be a great opportunity to grow your skills.

Schedule:

Swing Shift: Monday–Friday, 2:30 PM–11:00 PM
Every other weekend: Plant checks

Training:

You will work day shift for the first few months to complete training and get familiar with the facility before transitioning to the regular swing shift.

What You’ll Do
  • Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on facility equipment, machinery, and building systems
  • Maintain and repair mechanical and electrical equipment to keep operations running safely and reliably
  • Troubleshoot sensors, switches, push buttons, and other automated equipment
  • Perform basic inspections and repairs on refrigeration systems
  • Complete preventative maintenance on material handling equipment, including conveyors and other powered equipment
  • Use hand and power tools to diagnose and repair equipment
  • Use welding equipment and cutting tools when needed
  • Operate lifts and other equipment to safely access and maintain equipment at heights
  • Document maintenance, inspections, and repairs in the appropriate systems
  • Communicate equipment issues and maintenance needs to facility leadership
  • Follow all company and regulatory safety standards
What We’re Looking For
  • At least 1 year of maintenance experience or trade school experience , preferably in mechanical, building, MHE, or refrigeration maintenance
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn
  • Comfortable using hand and power tools
  • Able to troubleshoot equipment and perform preventative maintenance with minimal supervision
  • Basic computer skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Good communication and organizational skills
  • Comfortable working at heights and using lifts or other equipment to access elevated areas
  • Comfortable working in cold storage environments that can reach -20°F , with company-provided PPE and freezer gear
  • Able to lift at least 50 lbs.
  • Willing to work the required weekend rotation
  • Comfortable working in environments with varying noise levels
