Job summary

JLL is seeking a Mobile Maintenance Technician to support operation, inspection, and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and kitchen equipment in assigned facilities in the Gaylord / Petoskey, MI area. The role involves collaborating with the operations team to repair and maintain building systems and equipment, including specialized kitchen appliances.

Daily duties include basic plumbing and electrical tasks, lighting maintenance, and completing various assigned maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Valid state driver’s license required.
• One year of experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing and basic electrical preferred.
• Must be able to lift 80 lbs, climb ladders up to 30 ft, and have mechanical/electrical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Assist operations in maintenance and repair of building and equipment.
• Maintain kitchen equipment (meat grinder, tenderizer, meat saw, slicers, etc.).
• Perform minor plumbing repairs.
• Maintain lighting systems (bulbs and ballasts).
• Complete special tasks such as painting, locksmith work, tenant services, and general maintenance as assigned.

What This Job Involves

The Maintenance Technician supports operation, inspection, and maintenance processes to mechanical, electrical, plumbing and kitchen equipment and systems in assigned facilities.

What is your day to day?

• Assist the operations team in the maintenance and repair of building and equipment
• Kitchen equipment maintenance (meat grinder, Tenderizer, meat saw, slicers, etc.). General interior maintenance
• Minor plumbing repairs
• Maintain lighting system bulbs and ballasts
• Completes special tasks that include but are not limited to; painting, locksmith work, tenant services requests, and general maintenance as assigned.
• This position requires the employee to be on call for after-hours emergencies.
• Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas. Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them.
• Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs
• Documents work performance and materials procurement as directed.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Candidate must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license.
• Completion of an applicable technical training program is desirable, have a minimum of one (1) year of applicable working experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing, and basic electrical.
• Must have ability to lift a minimum of 80 lbs., use ladders up to 30 ft, and possess mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Must pass background, drug/alcohol, and MVR screening process.

Preferred Qualifications

• UST Class B Certification
• Ability to comply with both Jones Lang LaSalle and client-directed Policies & Procedures.
• Successful candidate must be a self-motivated individual who can work independently or in a team environment.
