Job summary

Saia-Burgess Automotive Actuators LLC in Springfield, TN is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair manufacturing equipment and facilities. Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Technical school certificate or equivalent.
  • 2–3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment (electric and machine repair).
  • Self-directed with a professional attitude.
  • Strong teamwork, communication and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of PC and PLC equipment and systems.
  • Ability to lift at least 45 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all machinery, equipment, building structures and facilities are maintained and functioning properly.
  • Perform maintenance on manufacturing and facility equipment, including mold presses, pneumatic/hydraulic presses, PLC‑controlled equipment, electrical testing and miscellaneous plant equipment.
  • Participate in the preventative maintenance program to insure optimum machine utilization.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical problems on equipment, providing short‑term and long‑term recommendations.
  • Provide timely and detailed information to management on equipment status, corrective actions and updates during shifts.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests as needed.
  • Maintain equipment, parts and supplies inventories: check stock, anticipate needs, place and expedite orders, verify receipt.
  • Obtain estimates for supplies, repair parts and place orders as required.
  • Support ATF 16949, ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 procedures and a quality‑first approach to daily tasks.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment and adhere to health and safety standards.
