Job Description

The Maintenance Technician will support molding equipment, automation, facilities, HVAC, compressed air and chiller systems, and other machinery as necessary. Work will start with an 8‑hour day shift followed by a 12‑hour night shift on a 2‑2‑3 rotation.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic repairs on production and support equipment.
• Follow the preventive maintenance plan for molding equipment on a daily, weekly, monthly, semi‑annual, and annual schedule, or as requested by customers.
• Prepare and set up machinery for scheduled production runs.
• Re‑calibrate molding machinery per the annual preventive maintenance plan.
• Complete maintenance issues as they arise and document each assignment.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs during production and perform scheduled maintenance during machine service.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Work independently on assigned tasks while accepting direction on assignments.
• Resolve auxiliary equipment issues as they arise.
• Provide written feedback on the effectiveness of documentation, including preventive maintenance records, set‑up guides, and troubleshooting logs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited two‑year technical college program in a related field, or a four‑year university program, and 3–5 years related experience or on‑the‑job training.
• Proficient in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
• LOTO and forklift certification required.
• Understanding of basic hydraulic and electrical systems and safety issues.
• Understanding of electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Basic knowledge of ladder logic or PLC programming.
• Ability to apply general safety knowledge within the work environment.
