Job summary

Ascent Professional Services seeks a Maintenance Technician for a client in the Germantown/Menomonee Falls area. You will perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic repairs on production and support equipment, follow the preventative maintenance plan, and assist automation technicians on troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.

This 12-hour day or night shift opportunity operates on a rotating 2-2-3 cycle.

Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited two-year technical college program in a related field, or a four-year university program in a related field, with 3–5 years of related experience.
  • Ability to perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
  • LOTO and Forklift certification required.
  • Understanding of basic hydraulic and electrical systems and safety considerations.
  • Understanding of electrical and hydraulic prints.
  • Basic understanding of ladder logic or PLC programming.
  • Understand and utilize general safety knowledge in the work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic repairs on production and support equipment.
  • Follow preventative maintenance plan for molding equipment on a defined schedule.
  • May prepare and set up machinery for scheduled production runs.
  • Re-calibrate molding machinery per annual maintenance plan.
  • Complete maintenance issues and document assignments.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs during production and scheduled maintenance during machine service.
  • Read and interpret manuals and work orders for required maintenance.
  • Work independently or follow directions as assigned.
  • Resolve auxiliary equipment issues as they arise.
  • Provide written feedback on documentation and troubleshooting records.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Overview

Our client located in the Germantown/Menomonee Falls area are seeking both DAY & NIGHT Maintenance Technician(s) for their growing teams. As a Maintenance Technician, you will perform repairs and component replacement duties associated with molding equipment, automation, facilities, HVAC, compressed air/chiller systems, and other machinery as necessary. The Maintenance Technician executes and provides feedback on the preventative maintenance plan for molding equipment and performs or assists automation technicians on troubleshooting and preventative maintenance on automation equipment.

This is a 12-Hour Day or Night Shift Opportunity either from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. or 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. on a rotating 2-2-3 cycle. Compared to a traditional 5-day workweek, the 12-hour rotating shift schedule translates to approximately 75 fewer workdays per year for employees.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic repairs on production and support equipment.
  • Follow preventative maintenance plan for molding equipment on a daily, weekly, monthly, semi-annual, and annual schedule, or per customer requests.
  • May prepare and set up machinery for scheduled production runs.
  • Re-calibrate molding machinery per annual preventative maintenance plan.
  • Complete maintenance issues as they arise and complete necessary documentation for each assignment.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments.
  • Resolve auxiliary equipment issues as they arise.
  • Provide feedback (written is required) on effectiveness of documentation including Preventative maintenance documentation, set-up guides, and any troubleshooting records.
  • Any other duties as assigned.
Experience and Skills
  • Completion of an accredited two-year technical college program in a related field of study, or a four-year university program in a related field of study; and three to five years related experience or accrued on-the-job training and experience.
  • Ability to perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
  • LOTO and Forklift certification required.
  • Understanding of basic hydraulic and electrical systems along with proper safety issues.
  • Understanding of electrical and hydraulic prints.
  • Basic understanding of ladder logic or PLC programming.
  • Understand and utilize general safety knowledge within the work environment.
