Job Summary:

Oyster Bay Manor/Harbor House, a serene, assisted living and memory care facility nestled in Oyster Bay, New York, is seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team! As a key member of our maintenance department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facility, providing exceptional support to our residents and staff.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment and systems


• Respond quickly to maintenance requests from residents and various departments


• Conduct basic sheetrock, flooring, and lighting repairs


• Periodically tour the facility and grounds to ensure basic safety compliance


• Report any unusual conditions or malfunction of heating, plumbing, and electrical systems or any other incidents


• Conduct basic construction and repair experience

Qualifications:

• Basic construction and repair experience


• Prior experience as a Maintenance Worker in an Assisted Living Facility is a BIG PLUS but not required


• Ability to interact with residents with respect and dignity


• Knowledge of HVAC systems, including air conditioning units and refrigeration equipment is a Plus


• Mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in equipment repair and preventative maintenance is a plus


• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team


• Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a detail-oriented approach to maintenance tasks


• Must be vaccinated
