Job summary

Cascades in Lancaster, NY is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep production lines running and ensure plant safety. The role focuses on preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment.

You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems; read blueprints; operate CMMS; and work 2nd shift Mon-Fri 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM with overtime as needed. Competitive hourly wages and benefits apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Technical training or certification is an asset.
• 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Knowledge of PLCs, motor controls, sensors, and VFDs is preferred.
• Welding and fabrication experience is an asset.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
• Flexibility to work overtime or weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment and facility systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and conveyor systems.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and minimize production downtime.
• Conduct equipment inspections and complete repairs, adjustments, and upgrades.
• Maintain plant utilities including boilers, air compressors, HVAC systems, and lift trucks.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Document maintenance activities using a CMMS.Follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
• Collaborate with production teams to improve equipment reliability and performance.

What you’ll do

As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll be at the heart of operations - right on the floor where materials take shape.

Your day-to-day:

Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment and facility systems.

Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and conveyor systems.

Your strengths as a Maintenance Technician

You are a natural fit for this role if:

High school diploma or GED.

Technical training or certification is an asset.

3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
