Job summary

Cascades in Schenectady is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to support on-the-floor operations and keep equipment running safely and efficiently. The role focuses on maintaining manufacturing equipment, boilers, air compressors, and lift trucks, with hands-on duties across machining, electrical work, hydraulics, steam and pneumatics.

The position is full-time with guaranteed hours, offering competitive hourly wages of $29.71 to $35.44 per hour, 2nd or 3rd shift, and a comprehensive

Qualifications

• 2 years of electrical experience preferred.
• Proficient in all aspects of electrical voltage, distribution, code interpretation and application.
• Ability to work without supervision and train mechanics at all levels in safe electrical work practices.
• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 2 years of manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of PLC programming, robotics, and related electronics is an asset.
• Selected candidate must possess their own tools.
• Must pass maintenance skills assessment.

Responsibilities

• Review work orders, assign and proactively attend the work.
• Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer’s performance specifications
• Servicing manufacturing equipment, boilers, air compressors, and electric lift trucks.
• Maintenance duties include machining, electrical, hydraulics, steam, pneumatics, and welding.
• Diagnose faults or malfunctions and confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace unit
• Share ideas for improvement with department manager

What you’ll do
