Job summary

JD Laser, Inc. is hiring a Maintenance Technician for our Jackson, Wisconsin location. The first shift runs from 6 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with responsibilities centered on diagnosing and repairing production equipment.

Ideal candidates have solid knowledge of manufacturing processes and preventative maintenance, plus the ability to document maintenance activities and coordinate repairs as needed. No relocation required.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of production processes and equipment.
• Ability to diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions in a timely manner.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment as required.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance performed.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions in a manufacturing setting.
• Perform preventative maintenance and document all maintenance activities.
• Coordinate with maintenance personnel and external services for major repairs.
• Keep shop organized, clean and tools properly stored.

JD Laser, Inc. has an immediate opening for a first shift Maintenance Technician at our Jackson, Wisconsin location. Hours would be 6 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday- Friday.

The ideal candidate would possess the following:

• Thorough knowledge of production processes, equipment and operations in the interest of diagnosing and repairing equipment malfunctions,
• Ability to perform preventative maintenance duties on equipment as required and maintains competent knowledge of equipment, operations and processes throughout the plant.,
• Capable of addressing minor repairs and coordinating more significant repairs with fellow maintenance personnel and/or external services as needed,
• General computer use knowledge – keeps documents/records of all maintenance performed, as it occurs,
• Able to meet the physical requirements of the position including, but not limited to: able to lift up to 50 lbs., stand/sit/walk for extended periods of time, squat/kneel, climb stairs/ladders, operating equipment/power tools, and able to grip/grasp/pinch and reach overhead, as required,
• Assist in keeping our shop environment clean, organized and efficient, ensuring tools and equipment are in their designated places and ready for use.

Previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred, but not required.
