Job summary

Trasis in Belgium is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance across its infrastructure, with primary duties in Ans and some assignments in Flémalle. You’ll respond to internal requests promptly, schedule work, and coordinate contracts and inspections.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in electromechanics or industrial maintenance (BA4/BA5 a plus), basic English, strong communication, and a proactive, customer‑ and solution‑oriented approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electromechanics or industrial maintenance (or equivalent experience).
• Experience in HVAC, industrial equipment, and/or pharmaceutical equipment is a plus.
• BA4/BA5 certification (electrical work) is a plus.
• Basic command of English.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Self-reliant, organized, and have good priorities.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proactive and customer- and solution-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to internal client requests and ensure timely handling.
• Schedule maintenance, replacements, and inspections; perform preventive maintenance.
• Draft infrastructure specifications, submit them, and negotiate contracts.
• Supervise and coordinate suppliers and subcontractors; ensure contracts and schedules are executed.
• Periodically evaluate suppliers by quotes and market trends.
• Manage workspaces and office layout in collaboration with department managers.
• Propose technical solutions to optimize infrastructure maintenance.
• Ensure safety rules are implemented and followed.
• Serve as on-call staff at Ans and Flémalle sites and respond to alarms.

Job description

As a Maintenance Technician, you perform preventive and corrective maintenance tasks as well as implement improvements across the company’s entire infrastructure and monitor their progress. Your primary work location is in Ans, with some assignments possible in Flémalle.

Responsibilities

• You respond positively and promptly to requests from internal clients.
• You ensure that requests from internal clients are handled efficiently and on time.
• You help draft specifications for infrastructure projects, submit them, and negotiate contracts.
• You schedule maintenance, replacements, and legally required inspections, and perform preventive maintenance on infrastructure.
• You perform corrective maintenance on building infrastructure and equipment.
• You supervise and coordinate the work of suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring that contracts and maintenance schedules are properly executed.
• You periodically evaluate suppliers by comparing quotes and market trends.
• In collaboration with department managers, you manage workspaces (office layout, relocations, furniture inventory management, etc.).
• You propose technical solutions to optimize infrastructure maintenance.
• You ensure that safety rules are implemented and followed.
• You serve as on-call staff at the Ans and Flémalle sites and respond to alarms.

Profile

• You have a bachelor’s degree in electromechanics, industrial maintenance, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in HVAC, industrial equipment, and/or pharmaceutical equipment is a plus.
