Job description

Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician's primary responsibility is to maintain production equipment for manufacturing, as well as to inspect and maintain HVAC systems. The technician also inspects interior/exterior lighting systems and maintains plumbing including toilets, sinks, pumps, and water utilities.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Assists the Facilities Maintenance Manager with inspection and maintenance of HVAC systems.
• Provides regular maintenance for Kilns, Slipcast, and RamPress, and troubleshoots issues.
• Conducts maintenance on interior and exterior lighting and electrical circuits.
• Maintains plumbing of the facilities, including toilets, sinks, pumps, and water utilities.
• Assists with carpentry duties to build various items necessary for the Facilities Department.
• Assists with special events such as the Barn Sale and Warehouse Sale, including set up, breakdown, and various support tasks.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma required
• Vocational or Technical training preferred (HVAC, Construction, Plumbing)
• Five to eight years of experience required in a similar position
• Three to five years of intermediate electrical, plumbing and HVAC experience preferred

Special Requirements:

• Driver's License
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
