Job summary

Georg Fischer is seeking a Facility Maintenance Worker in Easton, Northampton County. Responsibilities

• Ensure facilities are available for use and maintained in a safe condition.
• Assemble, repair, maintain, and move furniture.
• Conduct routine visual inspection of HVAC units.
• Inspect facilities and grounds for safety and security.
• Perform custodial tasks.

Job description

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensures facilities are available for use and consistently maintained in a safe and clean condition.
• Assembles, repairs, maintains and moves furniture, such as desks, cabinets, tables, chairs, shelves, and related fittings.
• Conducts routine visual inspection of HVAC units, replaces filters and identifies and reports more complex maintenance needs to Manager.
• Inspects facilities and grounds for safety and security; identifies and reports hazardous conditions and facility maintenance needs to Manager.
• Performs custodial tasks.
• Cleans oil and water spills around molding machines to keep trip and slip hazards.
• Assists with structural pest control measures.
• Monitors facility maintenance inventory and supplies.
• Assists with special events, as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education And Experience

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• One (1) year of relevant work experience preferred.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements

• Exposure to machine noise.
• Typical office/factory environment with possibility of exposure to heat in production area.
• Working conditions are normal for a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Work may involve lifting of materials and product up to 50 pounds and working in and around heavy equipment.
• Working in this environment requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, and work boots.
• This role may require walking in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment.
