Yukon Kuskokwim Health Corporation in Alaska is seeking a maintenance technician to operate and monitor the heating, water, and filtration systems and perform preventative maintenance across facilities.

The role requires a high school diploma, potential boiler certification within a year, and basic computer skills. Valid Alaska driver's license is required. Training provided, with generous benefits and a full-time schedule.

3rd Class Boiler Certificate within first year of employment.
Ability to read and understand simple instructions, memos, and short correspondence.
Ability to write simple correspondence.

Position Summary

To perform work in the operations and/or monitoring of the heating system, water system, filtration system, and general preventative maintenance

Position Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Trade/Technical School is preferred.
On the job training.
Valid State of Alaska Drivers license.
3rd Class Boiler Certificate required within first year of employment.
Understanding and/or using computer applications.
Must be familiar with equipment in facility and able to make manual adjustments or minor repairs.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
