Job summary

YKHC Yukon Kuskokwim Health Corporation is seeking a dedicated professional to help manage daily operations of residential facilities and related programs in rural southwest Alaska. You will supervise psychiatric technicians as directed and report to the facility Clinical Coordinators.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, cross-cultural experience, and strong verbal/written communication along with basic data entry skills.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Two years supervised experience with children and families.
• Experience in a cross-cultural setting preferred.
• Advanced education may substitute for experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; basic data entry skills.

Position Responsibilities

• Primarily responsible for facilitating the daily operation of YK Residential facilities and the associated programming.
• Supervisory responsibilities for psychiatric technicians (as directed).
• Reports directly to facility Clinical Coordinators unless otherwise directed.

Position Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• RHS certification preferred.
• Two (2) years supervised experience with children and families performed at a satisfactorily level.
• Experience in a cross-cultural setting required preferably with Native American cultures.
• Advanced levels of education may be substituted for experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; computer skills for basic data entry necessary.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
