Job summary

Maine Course Hospitality Group, a hospitality leader, is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to keep guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces running safely and efficiently.

You will perform routine maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other equipment, respond quickly to requests, and help protect guest safety and comfort. This role supports the GM and department leaders and requires practical problem-solving and physical stamina.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance, building operations, or facilities experience preferred (hotel experience a plus).
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and repair a wide range of issues.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and perform physical labor as needed.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including some weekends or evenings.
• EPA or other maintenance certifications are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily general maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting for guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces
• Complete routine preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, equipment, and appliances
• Respond quickly and professionally to maintenance requests and guest service needs
• Maintain property safety by inspecting and repairing locks, doors, alarms, lighting, and other safety systems
• Assist with pool/spa operations (if applicable), including chemical testing and equipment maintenance
• Support cleanliness and upkeep of building exteriors, grounds, and hotel equipment
• Work closely with the General Manager and department leaders to coordinate repairs and prioritize tasks
• Maintain accurate logs, reports, and documentation of completed work
• Monitor supply inventory and communicate needs for tools, parts, or equipment
• Ensure compliance with brand standards, safety protocols, and all local/state regulations
