The Fleet Technician III is responsible for the maintenance and repair of all Mobile Storage rental fleet equipment, including containers, ground level offices, office trailers, and modular buildings. This role requires a high level of independence, technical skill, and professionalism. The technician may specialize in specific trades and must be capable of performing duties of Equipment Associate, Fleet Technician I & II.


What you'll do:
  • Ensure compliance with Mobile Storage quality standards.
  • Perform diagnostics and repairs in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or welding.
  • Handle repairs and installations such as floors, walls, doors, leaks, caulking, windows, painting, filters, and equipment tagging.
  • Connect mobile offices to power sources and check tire conditions.
  • Complete work on time and within budget, documenting all activities properly.
  • Travel to customer sites for setup and support.
  • Supervise and train other team members as assigned.
  • Perform equipment modifications according to specifications and codes.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of shop, yard, tools, and supplies following company standards.
  • Inspect and process inbound/outbound equipment following procedures.
  • Operate forklifts safely and efficiently.
  • Show and demonstrate fleet to customers when needed.
  • Install and uninstall Value Added Products (VAPs) per reservation requirements.

Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Trade skills training or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Valid applicable state driver’s license.
  • At least 5 years of experience in construction, repair, and maintenance of equipment and tools.
  • Basic communication skills.
  • Strong construction knowledge and leadership abilities.
  • Excellent time management and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency with relevant technology and tools.
  • Knowledge of heavy equipment, tools, and warranty processes.
  • Ability to lift up to 45 pounds.
