Maintenance Technician
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing general upkeep, repairs, and maintenance tasks to ensure the safe and efficient operation of facilities and equipment. This role involves a variety of tasks including cleaning, minor repairs, and routine inspections to maintain the functionality and appearance of the property.
- Pay Rate: $20/hour
- Schedule: Monday - Friday 9:00AM-5:00PM
- PTO: 40 hours of sick PTO after 90 days, 40 hours of vacation PTO after one year, and 7 paid federal holidays.
- Location: Ft. Lauderdale, FL
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Performing daily repairs and upkeep of the property
- Managing the care, maintenance, and inventory of supplies and equipment
- Maintaining a professional appearance and attitude
- Changing AC filters and vacuuming AC vents
- Routine cleaning in common areas such as lobbies, restrooms, trash rooms, hallways, elevators, offices, laundry rooms, clubhouse, and recreational areas
- Disposing of trash according to community guidelines
- Cleaning floors, carpets, and entryways
- Addressing minor maintenance issues like changing lightbulbs and fixing leaks
- Assisting outdoor cleaning and landscaping upkeep
- Following safety protocols and OSHA standards
- Documenting maintenance or safety concerns
- Painting, pressure washing, and sprinkler system maintenance
- Operating within safety policies at all times
- Removing debris from roofs and the property
- Inspecting the property and reporting issues
- Collaborating with management and team members
- Providing excellent customer service to residents
- Diagnosing and solving maintenance issues across various systems
- Distributing notices and completing inspections
- Performing other duties as assigned
- Working outdoors in all weather conditions and performing physical activities such as bending, climbing, lifting, and painting
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; vocational training preferred
- Experience in maintenance or facilities management preferred
- Skills in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general repairs
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Proficiency with tools and maintenance equipment
- Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
- Ability to follow instructions accurately
