Job summary

Merakey is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our Facilities team in the Sunbury, PA area. The role covers multiple locations and involves hands-on building maintenance, repairs, and preventive tasks.

Responsibilities include carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting, and roof repairs, with on-call coverage as needed. A valid driver's license and 3 years of experience are required to support Merakey's mission and standards.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3 years of maintenance experience required.
• Experience in carpentry, light electrical, plumbing, drywall and painting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform desk and furniture repair and various maintenance tasks.
• Repair and maintain electrical, HVAC, plumbing, roofing, and building systems.
• Conduct inspections and report repairs in a timely manner.
• Work independently or with others and participate in on-call rotation.

We arecurrently seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our Facilities team. The technician will be responsible for locations throughout the Sunbury, PA area.

Position Details

• Become familiar with the policies and procedures that is associated with Merakey. Comply with these policies and procedures in carrying out all aspects of the job.
• Be directly responsible and report to the Maintenance Manager
• Comply with work schedule. Call the program to report absence or lateness of work.
• Complete daily work assignments made by program supervisor.
• Attend periodic staff meetings and mandatory in-service trainings.
• Uphold the missions, values and philosophy for Service of Merakey and uphold the general standard of professional conduct that relates to the position.
• Assume on-call coverage for emergency maintenance responsibilities.
• Able to work with Power tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Proficient performing desk and furniture repair
• Proficient performing surface preparation and paint
• Proficient performing wall and ceiling tile repair
• Proficient performing electrical repairs.
• Proficient performing roof repairs
• Proficient performing repairs to the HVAC system, ongoing maintenance
• Proficient performing parking lot repair and maintenance
• Proficient performing plumbing repair and maintenance
• Proficient performing lock repairs
• Proficient performing necessary renovations and upgrades to the physical plant.
• Proficient performing all types of home and building maintenance.
• Perform walkthrough inspections of sites, report and address repairs in a timely manner.
• Perform assigned projects while working with other or independently.

Earn $22/hour in this position.
