Summary: Under general direction and with little supervision, performs a variety of maintenance functions requiring a detailed knowledge of the company's maintenance needs. This position requires knowledge of the fundamentals and principles of most industrial trades. Duties may include, but are not limited to, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, hydraulics, machine repair, and welder maintenance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Performs complex maintenance work with little supervision on manufacturing equipment, buildings, and grounds, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, hydraulics, and welding.
2. Documents work details and materials needed for inspections, modifications, and audits.
3. Provides professional workmanship for installation and modification of electrical and mechanical equipment.
4. Contributes to energy conservation, recycling, and waste management efforts.
5. Performs preventive maintenance on production equipment according to schedule.
6. Tests the sprinkler system quarterly and records results for future reference.
7. Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work environment daily.
8. Maintains Putzmeister America's high standards of quality.
9. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of electrical test equipment (voltage and amp meters).
• Basic understanding of pneumatics, HVAC, plumbing, and carpentry.
• Understanding of the metric system of measurement.

Education/Certification & Training:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 2 years of electrical/maintenance experience.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

The environment involves working indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions. Use of personal protective equipment is required. Noise levels are frequently loud. Must be able to stand, walk, bend, squat, climb stairs, and lift regularly. Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 70 pounds occasionally. Comfortable working at heights up to 50 feet and in confined spaces.
