Job summary

Sealed Air Corporation is seeking a Night Shift Maintenance Technician in Streetsboro, OH to perform troubleshooting, calibration, and repair of production equipment. The role includes scheduled preventive maintenance, reading manuals and blueprints, and supporting plant goals with a strong safety mindset.

The position requires a HS diploma, 1–3 years in maintenance, and proficiency with electrical systems, PLCs, pneumatics, and related skills.

Qualifications

  • HS Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a maintenance or trade skills role.
  • Knowledge of at least 5/10 of the following skills: electrical systems, PLC troubleshooting, pneumatics, preventive maintenance, compressors, welding, plumbing, conveyers, hydraulics, and pumps.
  • Able to interface and cooperate well with production line workers and supervisors, with a strong customer service mindset.
  • Basic math, reading, and computer skills (Microsoft Word & Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to solve problems and apply critical thinking.
  • Able to work effectively and efficiently as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing safety programs (PPE, LOTO, Arc Flash)
  • Experience with plastic production equipment a plus.
  • Ability to operate cranes, forklift, and other related equipment preferred.
  • Experience with 240V electrical systems preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs trouble shooting, calibration, and repair of production equipment as needed to always keep lines operational.
  • Performs scheduled preventative maintenance to identify and replace failed components such as bearings, belts, motors, etc.
  • Can read and interpret equipment manuals, drawings, schematics, blueprints, and work orders to perform required maintenance.
  • Dismantles/disassembles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts, using specifications and/or blueprints, precision measuring instruments, and hand tools.
  • Calibrations and adjustments on various types of devices and production control systems.
  • Understands facilities, mechanical/electrical systems and their component functions and relationships; and is competent in their troubleshooting and repair
  • Assists other maintenance and production team members as required in support of plant goals.
  • Equipment selection - able to determine the kind of tools and equipment needed to perform the work.

Job Description

Shift: Night - 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM Rotating Shift Schedule

Shift Premium Amount: $2.00

Pay Rate: $27.00
