Job summary

Springfield Crossings is seeking a Maintenance Technician to help maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors. You will perform painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, and other facility repairs, ensuring reliable operation and compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of general maintenance experience required.
• HVAC, plumbing, and electrical experience strongly preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency including Word, Excel, and internet-based systems.
• Strong knowledge of building equipment, building systems, and applicable building codes.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including day, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair building equipment and systems to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Support preventative maintenance programs to reduce equipment downtime and extend system longevity.

• Utilize basic computer systems (Word, Excel, Internet Explorer, or similar platforms) to document work orders, track maintenance activities, and communicate updates.
• Respond to maintenance requests promptly while prioritizing resident safety and comfort.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety procedures, facility policies, and regulatory standards.
