Job summary

AutoZone is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to ensure our retail stores stay well-maintained and safe. You will perform routine maintenance, repairs, and safety inspections across a designated area, troubleshoot minor issues, and manage work orders to keep stores in top condition.

You will frequently travel overnight, adhere to safety protocols, and assist in vendor identification and vehicle maintenance while upholding AutoZone's dress code and customer service standards.

Qualifications

Job description

As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you'll ensure our retail stores are well-maintained and safe. You'll perform routine maintenance, repairs, and safety inspections, helping to keep our stores in top condition. In this position, you'll be responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and safety inspections across a designated area. Your tasks will include troubleshooting and fixing minor issues related to electrical, structural, plumbing, and equipment maintenance. You'll also conduct preventive maintenance, manage work orders, and assist in vendor identification. This role requires frequent overnight travel and adherence to safety protocols, ensuring our stores remain in top condition for our customers and employees.

Customer Service & Dress Code

Deliver exceptional customer service and adhere to AutoZone's dress code.

Travel & Safety

Frequently travel overnight and maintain a safe working environment using PPE.

Maintenance & Repairs

Conduct routine store visits for building and ground repairs, and perform preventive maintenance duties.

Troubleshooting

Troubleshoot and repair minor maintenance issues involving electrical, structural, plumbing, and equipment.

Reporting & Work Orders

Report store conditions using electronic media and manage work orders for assigned stores.

Vendor & Vehicle Management

Assist in identifying vendors, perform diagnostics on the Energy Management System, and maintain vehicle maintenance.

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
• 1-2 years of maintenance experience or equivalent education.
• Skills in electrical, plumbing, and general construction.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet AutoZone's driving requirements.
• Must be 21 years or older.
