Job summary

Randstad USA in Shelton, CT seeks a hands-on CNC Maintenance Technician to diagnose, repair and maintain CNC machines and related systems. You'll work with FANUC CNC controls, servo drives, PLCs, hydraulics and pneumatics to keep production running.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience, a High School diploma, and the ability to read electrical schematics and ladder logic. This full-time role offers a first shift with steady hours and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair and maintain CNC machines.
• Troubleshoot FANUC CNC controls, alarms, I/O, servos and communications.
• Diagnose and repair servo motors, servo amplifiers, drives and encoders.
• Troubleshoot CNC electrical control circuits, relays, contactors, sensors and switches.
• Troubleshoot PLCs, machine I/O and control circuits.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, ladder logic, hydraulic diagrams and pneumatic diagrams.
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including pumps, valves, cylinders, regulators and solenoids.
• Diagnose and repair ATC (Automatic Tool Changer) and other machine-tool mechanical systems.
• Troubleshoot machine positioning, homing, overtravel, limit switchs and axis-related problems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled inspections on CNC equipment.
• Respond quickly to machine breakdowns and minimize production downtime.

Do you have the ability to look at a CNC machine that is down, understand the alarm and symptoms, troubleshoot the electrical/mechanical system, identify the root cause and get the machine back into production??? If so, we want to speak with you today for an immediate direct hire opportunity in Shelton, CT. This is a hands‑on position, requiring troubleshooting and repairing CNC machines, FANUC CNC controls, servo systems, PLCs, electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics and machine tool mechanical systems.

salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year

work hours: 7 AM - 3:30 PM
