Randstad USA is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician for our Mississippi plant to maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize advanced packaging lines and automated equipment. You will be the backbone of plant performance, working nights to ensure peak equipment reliability and operational excellence.

The role requires 5 years of electronic and mechanical maintenance experience, safety-focused practices, and the ability to document work in the CMMS.

Qualifications

• 5 years of electronic/ mechanical maintenance experience.
• Experience with packaging lines and industrial equipment.
• Safety-focused with knowledge of Lockout/Tagout and chemical safety.
• Willingness to work in a night shift and a non-temperature controlled environment.

Responsabilités

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical components across packaging lines and conveyors.
• Execute scheduled Preventative Maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
• Perform mechanical setup, tool changes, and line changeovers for varied production runs.
• Enforce safety guidelines including LOTO, Confined Space, and PPE compliance.
• Maintain organized work area, tool inventory, and spare parts stock; assist with plant utilities.
• Accurately document work orders, PM logs, and parts usage in the CMMS.

salary: $62,500 - $70,720 per year

Responsibilities

• Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Diagnose, repair, and maintain mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical components across liquid filling, powder blending, casing, and conveyor systems.
• Preventative Maintenance (PM): Execute scheduled PM programs on all machinery and facility equipment according to OEM specifications and internal guidelines to minimize downtime.
• Line Changeovers & Adjustments: Perform mechanical setup, tooling changeovers, and fine-tuning of packaging lines to support varied production runs.
• Safety & Compliance: Strictly enforce Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Confined Space, chemical safety, and PPE guidelines. Proactively identify and resolve potential workplace hazards.
• Facility & Shop Maintenance: Maintain an organized work area, tool inventory, and spare parts stock. Assist with general plant utility systems as needed.
• Documentation: Accurately document work orders, PM logs, and parts usage in the maintenance management system.

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment
• wearing steel toe shoes
• working in a non-temperature controlled environment
• manual lifting up to 50lbs
• standing for 10 hours at one time
• working up to 10 hrs of overtime per week
