Job summary

The Housing Company in Sandpoint, Idaho, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the property's upkeep, tenant apartments, and grounds, with occasional work at additional complexes. This full-time role covers Oak Street and Bristlecone Apartments and may involve work at other sites as needed.

You will perform repairs, preventive maintenance, turns, and seasonal tasks while upholding safety and Fair Housing standards.

Qualifications

• Basic working knowledge of building maintenance.
• Carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, and groundskeeping skills.
• Excellent customer service and attention to detail.
• Able to prioritize multiple tasks and follow through.
• Adhere to safety policies and Fair Housing laws.
• Valid driver's license and active auto insurance.
• Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

The Housing Company, a non-profit organization, has an immediate opening for a Maintenance Technician in Sandpoint, Idaho! You will assist with the maintenance of the complex as well as occasional work at other complexes as needed, including individual apartment units and the grounds. This position will be full-time at Oak Street and Bristlecone Apartments in Sandpoint.

In this role you will do the following:

• Perform general repairs in individual apartments and across the complex, including but not limited to, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, painting, and overall groundskeeping.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on buildings.
• Complete apartment turns in a timely manner, without sacrificing quality.
• Keep work areas clean and organized.
• Maintain an inventory of supplies and tools.
• Perform seasonal tasks such as mowing and snow/ice removal.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Basic working knowledge of building maintenance required, including:

• Carpentry
• Electrical
• Plumbing
• Painting
• Groundskeeping

Qualified candidates must also:

• Have exceptional customer service skills and attention to detail.
• Be highly motivated and have a positive attitude.
• Able prioritize multiple tasks, follow-up, and follow through.
