Job summary

Oakmont Management Group seeks a Maintenance Technician for IVY park at San Marino, a senior living campus. You will maintain the physical plant, external and interior common areas, and resident units in alignment with our mission and values.

Responsibilities include basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC tasks, plus supporting apartment turnovers, grounds upkeep, and safety compliance. A team-oriented approach and service mindset are essential to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in building maintenance or related trades.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to operate MS Office programs (Word, Excel).
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to maintain a safe, clean environment for residents and staff.
• Willingness to pass background checks and health screenings.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC tasks.
• Assist with apartment turnovers – painting, carpet cleaning, and pressure washing.
• Maintain grounds including pool and spa if applicable.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment following safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with coworkers and other departments.

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance of the physical plant, exterior, and interior common areas, and individual resident units in the Community, in accordance with the company's mission, vision, and values.

Responsibilities

• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
• Ability to assist with apartment turnovers - painting, carpet cleaning, pressure washing.
• Maintain grounds including pool and spa if applicable.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.

Qualifications

• Prefer six (6) months of experience in the building industry, maintenance, and/or housekeeping handling the upkeep, repair, and maintenance of electrical, plumbing, and structural matters. Knowledge of building construction is helpful.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to operate MS Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs.
• Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests.
• For the health and safety of our team members and residents, Oakmont Management Group may require team members to vaccinate, participate in daily screening, surveillance testing, and to wear face coverings and other personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 or other communicable diseases, per regulatory guidelines.
