Job summary

Stem DTS is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician in Salisbury, NC to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a wide range of industrial equipment and facility systems. The ideal candidate has a strong electro-mechanical background and PLC experience, with hands-on work on pumps and valves in a manufacturing setting.

You will diagnose issues, perform preventative maintenance, and participate in improvement initiatives to maximize uptime.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Industrial Maintenance Technician or Millwright experience.
• PLC experience with troubleshooting and programming basics.
• Experience working with pumps and valves in industrial settings.
• Strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Onsite work Monday–Friday 7 am–3 pm in Salisbury, NC; overtime may be needed.

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and maintaining a wide range of industrial production equipment and facility systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong electro-mechanical background, hands-on experience with PLC-controlled equipment, and expertise working with pumps, valves, and other mechanical systems in a manufacturing or industrial environment. This role requires a safety-focused professional who can independently diagnose equipment issues, perform preventative maintenance activities, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that maximize equipment reliability and uptime.Key Responsibilities:Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial manufacturing equipment, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.Diagnose and resolve equipment failures using established troubleshooting methodologies.Perform preventative and predictive maintenance activities on production equipment and plant systems.Install, align, and maintain pumps, valves, oxygen sensors, boilers, chillers, cooling towers and related equipment.Troubleshoot electrical systems, including motors, drives, sensors, relays, and control circuits.Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals.Assist with PLC troubleshooting, fault identification, and basic programming modifications as needed.Support equipment startups, changeovers, and capital improvement projects.Collaborate with operations, engineering, and maintenance personnel to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.You should be proficient in:PLC Troubleshooting SkillsElectrical RepairHigh Voltage SystemsPneumatics TroubleshootingHydraulic Systems & ComponentsMachines & technologies you'll use:Programmable Logic Controller (PLC)
