Job summary

ALPLA Group is hiring a Maintenance Technician at the Saint Peters facility. You will install, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and support facility upkeep to ensure safe, reliable production.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma and a technical degree or equivalent experience, with basic mechanical, hydraulic, and safety knowledge and strong teamwork skills.

Qualifications

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prefer 2-year technical degree or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic fundamentals.
  • Basic safety and maintenance practices.
  • Ability to read measurements and perform math calculations.

Responsibilities

  • Install and maintain ALPLA equipment and systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance to prolong equipment life.
  • Troubleshoot and repair molding machines and related tooling.
  • Support general facilities maintenance as needed.
  • Record labor and maintenance data for reporting.

What Will You Enjoy Doing
  • Equipment installation and preventative maintenance:
    • Set up proprietary ALPLA equipment
    • Conduct regular preventive maintenance tasks on machinery to ensure optimal functionality and prolong equipment lifespan
    • Perform adjustments to machinery as needed to enhance performance and accommodate specific production requirements
  • Utilize predictive maintenance methodologies, such as condition monitoring and diagnostic tools, to identify potential issues before they lead to downtime or production disruptions
  • Employ specialized technical knowledge to perform predictive maintenance tasks, including assessing equipment health
  • Troubleshooting and repairs:
    • Diagnose technical problems and malfunctions in molding machines using a systematic approach to identify root causes accurately
    • Collaborate with technical experts and utilize advanced troubleshooting techniques to address complex issues effectively and efficiently
    • Execute repairs on molding machines, both independently and with technical guidance, restoring equipment functionality promptly to minimize production interruptions.
  • Facility Maintenance Support:
    • Contribute to general facility maintenance tasks beyond equipment‑specific responsibilities.
    • Assist in maintaining a safe and organized working environment by addressing facility‑related issues and supporting maintenance efforts in shared spaces
    • Collaborate with the facilities team to ensure a well‑maintained and conducive production environment for seamless operations
  • Performance Metrics:
    • Timely repair of equipment
    • Maximize MP2 data input to ensure 80% labor hours recorded
    • Must participate and complete the first half of the first segment of ALPLA’s sponsored Amatrol Online Skills Training Metrixs to be reviewed Monthly using MP2, UKGpro and Power BI reports

What Makes You Great
  • Min High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 2-year technical degree or equivalent experience at ALPLA or similar industry preferred
  • Knowledge of Industrial Maintenance Safety
  • Basic mechanical understanding and repair capability
  • Basic understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Knowledge of occupational math skills for measurements and calculations
  • Problem‑solving and team collaboration capabilities
