Job summary

Siemens Mobility in Sacramento, CA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep complex manufacturing equipment running through hands‑on troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement. This is a first shift position.

You will lead maintenance projects, diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, read drawings, and document work while supporting safety, quality, and productivity in a fast‑paced team environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in industrial maintenance or related roles.
• Strong troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to diagnose complex equipment issues and work independently.
• Experience reading technical drawings and maintaining maintenance records.
• Familiarity with diesel engines and heavy equipment; Deutz engines a plus.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills with focus on safety and quality.

What Your Day May Look Like:

• Perform advanced troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on facility equipment, including diesel engines, transportation equipment, heavy machinery, and large forklifts.
• Lead assigned maintenance projects from planning through execution, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and with minimal supervision.
• Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical and electrical issues to maximize equipment reliability, uptime, and operational performance.
• Support equipment installations, machine startups, commissioning activities, and continuous improvement initiatives while partnering closely with engineering teams.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation, provide guidance to junior technicians, and contribute to a high‑performing maintenance organization focused on safety, quality, and productivity.

This position is located in Sacramento, CA. The starting salary range for this position is $71,400 - $82,008 per year. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
