Salary Range: $18.00–$26.00 Hourly
The Commercial Greenhouse Maintenance Associate plays a vital role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of greenhouse facilities, equipment, and environmental systems. This position is responsible for maintaining and repairing greenhouse infrastructure, irrigation systems, climate control equipment, material handling equipment, and other facility assets. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-conscious, and thrives in a fast-paced agricultural environment.
This position is primarily performed in a commercial greenhouse and outdoor work environment, with occasional administrative duties completed in an office setting using computers and standard office equipment.
Candidates must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. The position requires working in varying temperatures, humidity levels, dust, moisture, and exposure to fertilizers, plant material, and other agricultural allergens.
Essential physical requirements include prolonged standing, walking, bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing ladders, reaching, twisting, and performing repetitive hand movements throughout a full work day. The ability to safely operate maintenance equipment, power tools, forklifts, lifts, and other machinery is required, including obtaining any necessary certifications.
Candidates must be comfortable working at heights exceeding six (6) feet and using radios or mobile communication devices.
This position requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as business demands and seasonal production schedules require.
The ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently and up to 100 pounds with assistance is required.
