The successful candidate will have HVAC certification with 3+ years of experience, ability to move heavy equipment safely, and availability for 24/7 emergency calls, with background screening and drug testing as part of the process.

Responsibilities

• Repair apartment appliances, water heaters, electrical fixtures, bulbs, sinks, and basic carpentry.
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks as needed.
• Complete work orders and documentation for operations of maintenance equipment.
• Provide exceptional customer service in every interaction.
• Assist maintenance supervisor as needed.
• Support grounds maintenance as directed.

Job Details

Currently, we are searching for a Maintenance Technician to work at Concord Commons in Rockford, IL.

The Maintenance Technician will perform general maintenance and repairs and apply specialized skills in areas such as HVAC, plumbing, and electrical as well as assist the Maintenance Supervisor.

Description

The successful candidate must have experience in plumbing, electrical, and carpentry. A commitment to exceptional customer service is critical.

Duties

• Must possess the ability and tools to repair apartment appliances, water heaters, electrical fixtures, bulbs, commodes, sinks, basic carpentry and any general maintenance repairs that may arise.
• Knowledge to perform preventive maintenance duties as needed.
• Complete work orders and forms to assure all documentation regarding operations of maintenance equipment is completed properly.
• A commitment to exceptional customer service is critical.
• Pick up grounds as instructed.
• Assist the maintenance supervisor.

Qualifications

• Ideal candidate has HVAC certification with 3 or more years of Maintenance Technician experience.
• Must be able to move heavy equipment safely, using proper equipment.
• This candidate must be available for emergency maintenance calls 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
• Occasional overtime required.Background screening and drug test required.
