Highland Management Group, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician for Woodlake Park Apartments in Richfield, MN. This full-time role offers a starting hourly rate of $25 and provides licensing support and training opportunities.

The position involves preventative maintenance, responding to resident work orders, and safety checks. On-site living is optional with a rent discount, and on-call opportunities are available for interested candidates.

Qualifications

• Electrical knowledge and basic plumbing and carpentry skills.
• Willingness to obtain boiler/CPO license; licensing costs covered by employer.
• Attention to detail and punctual, with a focus on resident satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Maintain property upkeep including preventative maintenance, repairs and replacements.
• Complete maintenance requests from residents via work orders.
• Monthly checks of fire extinguishers and smoke detectors; daily boiler checks.
• Know shut-offs for water, gas, fixtures and sewer clean-outs; ensure vacant units are maintained.
• Ensure cleanliness and repair of vacant units; inspect pools and document reports.

Maintenance Technician: Woodlake Park Apartments

Position: Full-time, 40 hours per week.

Hourly Rate: Starting at $25 per hour

Emergency on-call is optional, lucrative opportunities available if desired.

Boiler/CPO Licenses: These licenses are not a requirement for this position - Willingness to obtain one is. Highland Management Group pays for educational costs, training, and licensing. This includes exam fees!

Highland Management Group, Inc. is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to be part of our team at Woodlake Park Apartments in Richfield. Woodlake Park is a 90-unit property.

Living on-site is not a requirement for this position, but employees who do choose to live on-site will receive a higher rent discount!

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure resident satisfaction through the regular upkeep of the property, including preventative maintenance, repair, and replacement.
• Complete Maintenance Requests from residents as received on work orders.
• Check fire extinguishers and smoke detectors monthly and check boilers daily.
• Have a working knowledge of water and gas meter shut offs, all apartment fixtures shut-off locations, and sewer clean-outs.
• Assure the cleanliness and good repair of vacant units.
• Check pools (if applicable) and complete miscellaneous inspections & reports.
• Report regularly to Property Manager on projected expenses as authorized by manager for maintenance and service.
• Other miscellaneous tasks as requested by the managers.
