Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Experience in maintenance in manufacturing is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret manuals and schematics.

Responsibilities

  • Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on production equipment according to manuals and diagrams.
  • Diagnose root causes by observing equipment in operation.
  • Disassemble equipment to access and replace defective components.
  • Update maintenance records in the CMMS (MPulse).
  • Maintain safety and 5S standards while performing duties.
  • Collaborate with team and support continuous improvement initiatives.

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance to support safe and reliable operation of production equipment. This role plays a critical part in minimizing downtime, maintaining equipment performance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Maintenance Technicians are expected to work safely, follow established procedures, and take ownership of assigned maintenance activities.

  • Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on production equipment in accordance with manufacturer manuals, diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Observe equipment in operation to diagnose root causes of mechanical, electrical, or pneumatic failures.
  • Disassemble equipment to access, repair, or replace defective components.
  • Inspect parts to identify wear, defects, or malfunctions and make necessary adjustments to restore proper operation.
  • Test repaired equipment to verify functionality, safety, and performance.
  • Perform basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, including testing of control systems and circuitry.
  • Identify required parts, supplies, and repair items and communicate needs to supervision.
  • Set up and operate basic machining equipment, including but not limited to lathes, drill presses, grinders, and other metalworking tools, as required.
  • Perform basic welding tasks when necessary.
  • Update maintenance records and review work history in the CMMS (MPulse).
  • Provide support and backup to other maintenance team members as directed.
  • Maintain awareness of maintenance industry standards and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with 5S standards, housekeeping requirements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities focused on process efficiency, reliability, and cost savings.
  • Complete assigned technical self-study or training programs for skill development and career growth.
  • Follow all safety-related policies, rules, regulations, and technical instructions, maintaining situational awareness and identifying unsafe behaviors or conditions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned that are consistent with the scope and responsibilities of the position.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
  • Proficiency with basic hand tools and maintenance equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
  • Previous experience in a high-paced production or manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Maintenance or technical training preferred but not required.
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl for extended periods.
  • Ability to reach with hands and arms and use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull more than 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
  • Ability to use close vision and color vision.
  • Work environment may include exposure to loud noise, moving machinery, hazardous materials, slippery surfaces, outside weather conditions, and risk of electrical shock.
