We are seeking a Maintenance Tech to join our team of roving maintenance techs to serve our apartment communities and single-family residences. Properties are located primarily between Inglewood and San Pedro, with most properties located in Hawthorne and the Beach Cities. The ideal candidate will enjoy working independently and in teams. The ideal person for this position will be customer service oriented, have excellent communications skills, and be a team player.

Here are some of the key responsibilities of this position:

• Assist with routine building inspections
• Trash out vacant units
• Groundskeeping and janitorial duties
• Will assist technicians with various maintenance tasks, as needed
• Outdoor painting
• Delivery of notices to apartment doorsAssist with resident events if needed; this would include setup, breakdown, cleanup, etc.
• Special projects and other responsibilities as assigned/as needed

Requirements

Required Experience, Skills, and Abilities:

• Be available to work Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
• Left 40-50 lbs.
• Ability to physically manage painting, pressure washing, blowing breezeways and parking lots
• Have dependable transportation to and from work?
• Have a strong work ethic
• Be a self-starter
• Enjoy working with others and able to take direction when needed
• Maintain a friendly and customer service-oriented approach with co-workers and customers
• Must possess a valid Government issued ID

Physical Requirements

• Strength and Stamina: Porters often need to lift and carry heavy objects, such as furniture, equipment, or supplies. They may also spend long hours on their feet, requiring stamina to sustain physical activity throughout their shift.
• Physical Agility: Porters may need to navigate through tight spaces or crowded areas while carrying items or operating equipment. Agility and flexibility can be important for maneuvering safely and efficiently.
• Endurance: Porters may be required to perform repetitive tasks or work in challenging environments, such as outdoor settings or areas with temperature extremes. Endurance is essential for maintaining productivity and effectiveness over time.
• Safety Awareness: Given the physical nature of their work, porters should be conscious of safety protocols and techniques to prevent injury. This includes proper lifting techniques, using protective equipment, and being aware of potential hazards in their work environment.
• Teamwork and Communication: While not strictly physical, effective teamwork and communication skills are important for coordinating tasks with coworkers and ensuring that work is completed efficiently and safely

SCHEDULE:

8-hour shift, Monday – Friday
