Role and Responsibilities of the Maintenance Mechanic

• Troubleshoot problems on equipment
• Address unplanned equipment maintenance issues
• Perform preventative maintenance activities as assigned
• Complete maintenance work order requests
• Order necessary supplies to perform repairs / PM’s
• Properly document work
• Ensure area and equipment are maintained in a clean and organized manner
• Perform safety checks
• Comply with all company policies and procedures
• Support continuous improvement efforts

Qualifications / Competencies of the Maintenance Mechanic

• Strong mechanical aptitude preferably with pneumatic, hydraulic, and electromechanical equipment
• High degree of troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Experience maintaining and repairing industrial equipment preferably injection molding presses and auxiliary equipment
• Basic math skills required
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints and diagrams.
• Good communication skills both verbally and written
• 5 years’ experience repairing and maintaining industrial equipment
• Physically capable of moving to all areas of the plant and exerting 25-60 pounds of force occasionally
• Base pay commensurate with experience
