Job summary

The ideal candidate will perform preventative maintenance and assist in maintaining optimal operational conditions for a growing number of stores across the region.

Qualifications

• Must have all certifications required by state and local jurisdiction.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical and mechanical work to ensure stores meet cleanliness and functionality standards.
• Complete assigned work and preventative maintenance by diagnosing and repairing defects.
• Obtain materials and track inventory from warehouse for repairs.
• Document service requests and maintenance in a timely manner.
• Inspect work performed by contractors to verify quality standards.
• Conduct periodic store inspections to communicate physical needs to management.
• Repair broken locks, electrical wiring, and other maintenance issues.
• Install equipment and troubleshoot systems.

Job description

This position performs technical and mechanical work that ensures the physical aspects of the stores meet the Company’s standards for cleanliness, appearance, safety, and overall functionality.

• Completes assigned and requested work for each store as well as preventative maintenance by diagnosing the source of defect and making repairs in accordance with policies, procedures, safety standards, and code requirements
• Obtains materials, supplies, equipment, tools, and other items from warehouse and tracks inventory of used, returning, unused items and notifies management about re-ordering needs
• Completes documentation and other paperwork in a timely, accurate, and complete fashion so that service requests and regularly scheduled monthly maintenance can be appropriately documented and tracked
• Supports cost-cutting and expense control programs by fixing rather than replacing parts when possible, not being wasteful with materials and supplies, and practicing the correct use for tools and equipment
• May periodically inspect work performed by contractors, vendors and other service providers to verify the work, materials and services meet quality standards, scope and specifications as required
• Assists in conducting routine and periodic store inspections to identify safety and risk management concerns, keep the stores in good repair, and communicate concerns about the physical needs of the property to management
• Conduct fixes such as repairing broken locks, filling gaps on walls, paint, replacing lights, water leaks, grease trap cleaning, safe reset, electrical wiring issues, etc.
• Install equipment and appliances and troubleshoot systems
