Job summary

Portales Dairy Products is seeking a maintenance technician to perform corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance on all plant mechanical systems, including utilities, process systems, and waste handling.

Responsibilities include DFA procedures, SAP reporting, and working in a 24x7 manufacturing environment. Applicants should have 3–5 years of mechanical maintenance experience, be able to read/write English, and follow safety and GMP/HACCP policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 3-5 years of mechanical experience and maintenance
• Ability to read, write, and speak English
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong knowledge of general mechanical concepts

Responsibilities

• Perform corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance on all mechanical systems at the plant, including utility and process systems
• Complete SAP reporting and document maintenance activities
• Operate, troubleshoot, and repair plant systems per DFA procedures
• Participate in plant projects and expansions
• Follow safety, GMP, HACCP, and all plant policies
• Attend scheduled training sessions
• Provide communication to support teams and escalate as needed
• Back fill for absences with overtime as required
• Demonstrate ownership of tools in a 24x7 manufacturing environment
• Work within budget and perform timely repairs
• Perform root cause analysis
• Maintain repairs within departmental budget

Job description

Perform corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance on all mechanical systems at the plant including utility systems, process systems, and waste handling systems.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Complete SAP reporting
• Operate, troubleshoot, and repair plant systems according to DFA procedures
• Perform required preventative maintenance, including lubrication, cleaning, and filter changes according to DFA maintenance procedures
• Participate in plant projects and expansions
• Follow safety, GMP, HACCP, and all other plant policies and procedures
• Attend scheduled training sessions
• Provide communication to all support team members by following proper escalation procedures
• Back fill team member absences with overtime as required
• Demonstrate success in tool ownership in a 24 x 7 manufacturing environment
• Work within budget, while completing timely repairs
• Perform root cause analysis
• Maintain repairs within departmental budget
