Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance on plant mechanical systems, utility lines, and waste handling. The role requires strong analytical skills, good mechanical knowledge, and proficient computer use.

Responsibilities include SAP reporting, troubleshooting, and repairs per DFA procedures, safety and GMP/HACCP compliance, and participation in projects while managing budgets.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Verifiable maintenance experience.
• 3-5 years of mechanical experience and maintenance.

• Participate in plant projects and expansions.
• Follow safety, GMP, HACCP, and all other plant policies and procedures.
• Attend scheduled training sessions.
• Provide communication to all support team members by following proper escalation procedures.
• Back fill team member absences with overtime as required.
• Demonstrate success in tool ownership in a 24 x 7 manufacturing environment.
• Work within budget, while completing timely repairs.
• Perform root cause analysis.
• Maintain repairs within departmental budget.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Complete SAP reporting
• Operate, troubleshoot, and repair plant systems according to DFA procedures
• Perform required preventative maintenance, including lubrication, cleaning, and filter changes according to DFA maintenance procedures
• Participate in plant projects and expansions
• Follow safety, GMP, HACCP, and all other plant policies and procedures
• Attend scheduled training sessions
