Dairy-Farmers-of-America, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician based in Fallon, NV, to maintain and repair production, processing, and packaging equipment.

You will perform preventative maintenance, interpret schematics, and support new equipment installation while minimizing downtime through troubleshooting and teamwork. The role requires 2–4 years in maintenance or related fields, proficiency with PLC/HMI and ammonia refrigeration experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduation from trade school or technical school preferred in areas such as electrical, programmable controls (PLC/HMI), mechanical, welding/fabrication, refrigeration, plumbing, etc.
• 2 to 4 years of maintenance, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, computer-controlled equipment, PLC, and HVAC or related experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Experience on a variety of equipment including lubricating, cleaning, material handling, motor control, relay control, process control and packaging equipment
• Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems preferred
• Certification and/or License – may be required during course of employment

Responsabilités

• Perform maintenance and/or repairs on production, processing, and packaging equipment and related utilities following safety procedures.
• Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections of equipment for reliability and performance.
• Read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, electrical schematics, service manuals, and work orders.
• Support the installation of new equipment.
• Assist operators with training or troubleshooting to minimize equipment downtime.
• Complete work orders in a timely manner with high quality standards.
• Use hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment safely.
• Communicate with other departments and management about problems that affect production.
• Document repairs and required information per SOP.
• Stay up to date on new products, equipment, technology and techniques.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and assist in continuous improvement.
• Anticipate parts requirements and manage purchasing appropriately.
• Maintain safe working conditions and compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Follow GMP and sanitation requirements; perform other duties as needed.
