Job summary

The Ford dealership is seeking a Quick Lube Service Technician to perform routine maintenance and fluid checks, oil changes, and belt/filter inspections. Join a team that values quality service and customer care.

Qualifications

• Ford Certification is a plus.

• Ability to identify problems quickly.
• Knowledge of automobiles and automotive systems.
• Effective analytical and communication skills.
• Strong reading, computer and mathematics skills.
• Ability to learn new technology and repair procedures.
• Comfortable operating electronic diagnostic equipment.
• High school diploma or GED; technical degree preferred.
• ASE certifications preferred; 1 year in service department.
• Physical ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive, friendly attitude and team player.

Responsibilities

• Test to ensure systems and components are secure and working.
• Isolate systems or components that might have caused the problem.
• Drive the vehicle for testing purposes.
• Diagnose and repair vehicles with accuracy and efficiency.
• Repair or replace worn parts before failure.
• Use power tools and diagnostic equipment to perform tasks.

Job description

This role will mainly be focused on fluid checks and basic maintenance. Typically, a Quick Lube Service Technician will change a vehicle's oil, check the transmission fluid and other fluid levels, inspect various belts and filters,check air levels, gauges and documenting results with a video.

Quick Lube Service Technician Responsibilities:

• Test to check whether systems and components are secure and working properly
• Isolate the systems or components that might have caused the problem
• Drive the vehicle for testing purposes
• Maintain efficiency and accuracy in diagnosing as well as repairing vehicles
• Repair or replace worn parts ahead of the vehicle’s breakdown or damage
• Use power tools, machine tools, and common hand tools to perform various tasks

Quick Lube Service Technician Requirements:
