Job summary

Linde Inc. in Port Arthur, TX seeks a Maintenance Technician to plan and perform installation, maintenance, overhauls and inspections of compressors, turbines, pumps, motors and heat exchangers.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of experience maintaining mechanical and rotating equipment.
• Experience installing, troubleshooting, inspecting, and repairing compressors, turbines, blowers, and heat exchangers; knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Proficient in precision measurement, equipment alignment, vibration analysis, dynamic balancing, and CMMS/EAM systems.
• Apprenticeship completion preferred.
• Maintain accurate records and demonstrate strong communication, teamwork, and independent decision-making.
• Meet physical requirements including confined space entry, climbing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working at heights.

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform equipment installation, maintenance, overhauls, and inspections of mechanical and rotating equipment (compressors, pumps, turbines, motors, gearboxes, heat exchangers, cooling towers).
• Support and maintain water treatment systems, gas-fired vaporizers, H2 generators, piping systems and related process equipment.
• Assist with turnaround planning, cost estimation, and resolution of recurring mechanical equipment issues.
• Conduct routine equipment inspections, perform preventive maintenance, and support root cause analysis of major equipment failures.
• Maintain maintenance records in EAM and support Predictive Programs.
• Work independently, make technical decisions, escalate concerns as needed, and perform office and field work including off-hours support.

• You will plan and perform equipment installation, maintenance, overhauls, and inspections of industrial mechanical and rotating equipment, including compressors, pumps, turbines, motors, gearboxes, heat exchangers, and cooling towers
• Further, support and maintain water treatment systems, gas-fired vaporizers, H2 generators, piping systems, and related process equipment

• Also, maintain maintenance records in EAM and support the Oil & Vibrations Predictive Program
• Work independently, make technical decisions, escalater concerns as needed, and perform office and field work, including off-hours support and access to elevated equipment using ladders, scaffolding, man-lifts, and crane baskets

• You will have a minimum of five (5) years of experience maintaining mechanical and rotating equipment in an industrial manufacturing environment
• Demonstrate proven experience installing, troubleshooting, inspecting, and repairing compressors, turbines, blowers, and heat exchangers, with knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance
• Moreover, you will be proficient in precision measurement, equipment alignment, vibration analysis, dynamic balancing, and EAM/CMMS systems
• You are expected to apply knowledge of regulatory requirements, industrial standards, and codes; machinist or millwright apprenticeship completion is preferred
• Maintain accurate records and demonstrate strong communication, teamwork, independent decision-making, and computer skills
• Meet physical requirements, including confined space entry, climbing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working at heights, while supporting extended hours, weekends, holidays, and call-in coverage as needed
