About the Role :

The Maintenance Technician at Southern Specialties Inc. plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities. This position is responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on various mechanical systems, ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and safely. The technician will troubleshoot issues, conduct inspections, and implement preventive maintenance strategies to minimize downtime. Additionally, the role involves collaborating with other team members to address maintenance needs and improve operational processes. Ultimately, the Maintenance Technician contributes to the overall productivity and safety of our work environment.

Minimum Qualifications :

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience in maintenance or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of electrical wiring, and mechanical repair.
• Experience in warehousing, preferably in produce.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 Ibs. by the waistline and 35 lbs. to shoulder height and above.
• Must be able to stand for prolonged periods, lifting, bending, twisting, squatting, reaching and grasping.
