Responsibilities
- Perform a wide variety of skilled maintenance work on our converting, printing, and extruding equipment, and various other ancillary equipment, as well as general repairs to building and grounds.
- Emphasize good analytical skills and ability to source other/outside resources to resolve issues, troubleshoot and repair electrical/electronic and mechanical problems, repairing and replacing faulty components or parts, installing new machines and equipment, performing preventive maintenance on equipment, maintaining parts and supplies inventories.
- This position will be responsible to support the plant by maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and modifying mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical equipment, including PLC, DCS and multiple systems.
- Emphasis on good safe work practices and familiar with safety procedures.
- Solid communication skills; ability to work well with others.
- Good analytical skills and a sense of urgency in completing work.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical/electronic systems and control circuits.
- Ability to solve mechanical problems, repairing and replacing faulty components or parts, installing new machines and equipment, performing preventive maintenance, and maintaining parts and supplies inventories.
- Perform reactionary maintenance (i.e., repair machines and equipment when required as they go down).
- Plan and carry out tasks and responsibilities for special projects on existing or new equipment or facilities; manage projects as assigned; source products and materials and obtain pricing for maintenance purchases; manage parts inventories.
- Perform most types of tool, die and fixture jobs.
- Miscellaneous duties, projects and responsibilities as assigned.
- Work well within a small team to solve collective problems; proactively reach out across departments to collaborate; encourage teamwork and communicate effectively with fellow department/facility members.
- Accept training readily, quickly understand new concepts, and willingness to train fellow department members.
- Performs tasks with limited supervision and may provide guidance to fellow employees; demonstrate the ability to work on a team to achieve departmental results.
Qualifications
- Ability to read and understand LOTO procedures
- Welding/Fabricating
- Machining, Lathes, and Mills
- Understanding of machine control systems and electrical schematics
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Use Office software and enter work orders in CMMS software
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage
