Job summary

Lynd Management Group, LLC is seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician for a full-time role in Pittsburgh, PA. You will handle maintenance across multifamily properties, addressing service requests and performing repairs to keep the property in top condition.

The ideal candidate has hands-on problem-solving skills, delivers quality work, and provides prompt service to residents. On-call rotation and after-hours response are part of the duties.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1–3 years of facility, commercial, or multifamily maintenance experience.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC systems and preventive maintenance.
  • General knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, appliances, painting, flooring, and apartment repairs.
  • Ability to safely operate standard and specialized maintenance tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Professional customer service and communication skills.
  • EPA Type II or Universal certification preferred.
  • Certified Pool Operator and CAMT certifications preferred.
  • Technical school, associate degree, or relevant military training is a plus.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to resident service requests and complete work orders accurately and on time.
  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC systems and perform preventive maintenance.
  • Complete plumbing repairs, including repairing leaks and removing clogs.
  • Perform minor electrical repairs and replace light fixtures and related components.
  • Repair appliances, locks, cabinets, walls, flooring, and other apartment features.
  • Complete painting, touch-ups, and other apartment make-ready duties.
  • Inspect vacant apartments and help ensure they are ready for move-in.
  • Maintain pools, equipment, common areas, grounds, maintenance rooms, and other property facilities.
  • Complete preventive maintenance projects and maintain accurate service records.
  • Report major repairs, safety hazards, and contractor needs to the Maintenance Supervisor or Property Manager.
  • Maintain an appropriate inventory of tools, parts, chemicals, and supplies.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation and respond to after-hours emergencies.

What You'll Do

  • Working knowledge of HVAC systems and preventive maintenance.
  • General knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, appliances, lighting, painting, flooring, and apartment repairs.
  • Ability to safely operate standard and specialized maintenance tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Professional customer service and communication skills.
  • Basic computer and mobile technology skills.
  • EPA Type II or Universal certification preferred.
  • Certified Pool Operator and CAMT certifications preferred.
  • Technical school, associate degree, or relevant military training is a plus.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish skills are a plus.
