Job summary

Lynd Management Group, LLC in Houston, TX is seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance across a multifamily property. You will troubleshoot, repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems and perform make-ready duties to prepare units for move-in.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience, strong problem-solving and customer service skills, with EPA or CAMT certifications preferred and bilingual abilities a plus. This is a full-time on-site role with benefits.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • HVAC/plumbing/electrical knowledge and preventive maintenance experience.
  • Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to resident service requests and complete work orders on time.
  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC systems and perform preventive maintenance.
  • Repair plumbing leaks and clogs; handle minor electrical repairs and fixtures.
  • Repair appliances, locks, cabinets, walls, floors, and other features.
  • Perform painting, touch-ups, and apartment make-ready duties.
  • Inspect vacant apartments and ensure move-in readiness.
  • Maintain pools, equipment, areas, and maintenance rooms.
  • Complete preventive maintenance projects and keep service records.
  • Report major repairs and safety hazards to supervisors.
  • Maintain inventory of tools, parts, and supplies.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and after-hours emergencies.

What You'll Do
  • Respond to resident service requests and complete work orders accurately and on time.
  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC systems and perform preventive maintenance.
  • Complete plumbing repairs, including repairing leaks and removing clogs.
  • Perform minor electrical repairs and replace light fixtures and related components.

  • Complete painting, touch‑ups, and other apartment make‑ready duties.
  • Inspect vacant apartments and help ensure they are ready for move‑in.
  • Maintain pools, equipment, common areas, grounds, maintenance rooms, and other property facilities.
  • Complete preventive maintenance projects and maintain accurate service records.
  • Report major repairs, safety hazards, and contractor needs to the Maintenance Supervisor or Property Manager.
  • Maintain an appropriate inventory of tools, parts, chemicals, and supplies.
  • Participate in the on‑call rotation and respond to after‑hours emergencies.
What We're Looking For
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • One to three years of facility, commercial, or multifamily maintenance and mechanical repair experience.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC systems and preventive maintenance.
  • General knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, appliances, lighting, painting, flooring, and apartment repairs.
  • Ability to safely operate standard and specialized maintenance tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Professional customer service and communication skills.
  • Basic computer and mobile technology skills.
  • EPA Type II or Universal certification preferred.
  • Certified Pool Operator and CAMT certifications preferred.
  • Technical school, associate degree, or relevant military training is a plus.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish skills are a plus.
