Job description

Join our property management team as a Maintenance Technician.

You will be responsible for the upkeep of apartment facilities located in Wilkinsburg, performing inspections, basic repairs, and preventative maintenance.

Under the supervision of the Community Manager, the Maintenance Technician will handle work orders, turnovers, property maintenance, and contribute to meeting financial and occupancy goals. You will maintain the property's appearance and curb appeal, ensuring safety and functionality.

Responsibilities :

  • Prepare and repair vacant apartments for new residents.
  • Respond promptly to service requests and emergencies, diagnosing and repairing issues including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, drywall, and more.
  • Assist with exterior maintenance, groundskeeping, and snow removal.
  • Complete work orders efficiently, perform preventative maintenance, and be aware of utility and sewer access points.

Requirements :

  • High School diploma or GED; trade certifications preferred (NAHMS, CAMT, OSHA, HVAC).
  • At least two years of multi-site property management or similar experience.
  • Hands-on experience in trades such as plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, electrical, or appliance repair.
  • Valid driver’s license, background check, and child abuse clearance required.

Physical Demands & Work Environment :

  • Active position with lifting up to 80 pounds.
  • Exposure to fumes, airborne particles, mechanical parts, and vibration.
  • Occasional outdoor work and variable hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays for emergencies.
