Job summary

Accurate Personnel is seeking a Maintenance Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility, production, and operational equipment. The role aims to maximize equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and support safe operations.

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, read schematics, assist with installations and changeovers, and maintain accurate maintenance records. A minimum of 2 years in a manufacturing or facility environment is preferred.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years in a manufacturing/industrial maintenance environment.
  • Experience troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Forklift certification or experience is a plus.

Reports To: Maintenance Manager / Maintenance Supervisor

Job Type: Full-Time (F/T)

Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of facility, production, and operational equipment. This role helps ensure equipment reliability, minimizes downtime, supports safe operations, and contributes to overall facility efficiency and productivity.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting

  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on equipment and facility systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automated equipment.
  • Diagnose equipment failures and implement effective repair solutions.
  • Inspect equipment to identify wear, damage, or potential issues before failures occur.
  • Support equipment installations, upgrades, and commissioning activities.
  • Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, blueprints, and equipment documentation.
  • Assist with machine changeovers, adjustments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and repair documentation.

Facility Maintenance

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems and infrastructure.
  • Support maintenance of lighting, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other facility systems as required.
  • Maintain safe and organized work areas and maintenance shops.

Safety & Compliance

  • Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and applicable maintenance procedures.
  • Utilize proper lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and other safety protocols.
  • Identify and report unsafe conditions, equipment concerns, and potential hazards.
  • Participate in safety meetings, training programs, and continuous improvement activities.

Inventory & Administrative Responsibilities

  • Maintain maintenance tools, parts inventories, and supplies.
  • Assist with ordering and tracking replacement parts and equipment.
  • Complete maintenance reports and documentation accurately and timely.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with operations and other departments.

Additional Duties

  • Support emergency repairs and equipment recovery efforts.
  • Assist with facility projects and equipment improvements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
  • Technical training, trade school education, or maintenance certifications preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, industrial, distribution, or facility environment preferred.
  • Experience troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance testing equipment.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to complete electronic maintenance records.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
  • Forklift certification or experience is a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, kneel, and reach throughout the workday.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and around moving machinery when required.
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, and respond to emergency maintenance needs as necessary.
  • Manufacturing, industrial, warehouse, distribution, or facility maintenance environment.
  • Regular exposure to moving machinery, mechanical equipment, and varying temperatures.
  • Moderate to high noise levels may be present.
  • Requires adherence to all personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety requirements.
