Job summary

AKA University City is hiring for a Full-Time Maintenance Technician. We’re seeking someone with 1-2 years of hospitality experience and proficiency with hand and power tools. English communication skills required.

You will perform maintenance tasks including painting, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and preventive maintenance; log work tickets; coordinate with residents and team; and participate in an on-call rotation to cover after-hours emergencies.

• Report and document any issues to management that could affect resident safety.

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Perform various maintenance functions including but not limited to: painting, caulking, HVAC repairs, lock repairs, window/door repairs, electrical repairs, appliance repairs, preventative maintenance, and changing light bulbs, filters, batteries, etc.
• Accepting and completing work tickets with detailed notes.
• Maintaining a positive working relationship with all team members and residents.
• Ensuring that the highest standards of service and professionalism meet our resident’s needs.
• Reporting and documenting any issues to management that could cause concern for the safety of our residents.

The hospitality industry requires varying schedules to support the business needs of the property. You will be a member of an on-call rotation among maintenance team members to ensure someone is always available to handle service requests outside of normal business hours and responsible for emergencies that may arise outside of normal business hours.
