Job summary

Surge Staffing in Peachtree Corners, GA seeks an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems, troubleshoot issues, and support continuous improvement while ensuring safe, efficient operation of production equipment.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of maintenance experience or college training in industrial maintenance, with the ability to read maintenance docs, and Siemens PLC

Qualifications

  • College training in industrial maintenance or 3–5 years of manufacturing maintenance experience.
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret maintenance documentation and equipment manuals.
  • Willingness to provide on-call support outside regular hours.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance and repairs on plant and production equipment.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and production equipment issues.
  • Maintain auxiliary equipment including air compressors, ventilation, dust collection, cooling, and power systems.
  • Assist with equipment cleanouts during product changeovers.
  • Collaborate with production and automation staff to resolve equipment failures.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production equipment.
  • Execute electrical and electronic maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain an organized spare parts inventory.
  • Follow safety procedures and 6S standards.
  • Provide production support and back-up to the team; participate in on-call rotation.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a vital role in keeping production equipment operating safely and efficiently while supporting continuous improvement throughout the facility.

Responsibilities

As a Maintenance Technician, you will:

  • Perform maintenance and repairs on plant and production equipment.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and production equipment issues.
  • Maintain auxiliary equipment including air compressors, ventilation systems, dust collection systems, cooling systems, and power systems.
  • Assist with equipment cleanouts during product changeovers.
  • Work closely with production personnel and automation staff to resolve equipment failures.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production equipment.
  • Execute electrical and electronic maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain an organized spare parts inventory.
  • Follow all workplace safety procedures and company policies.
  • Utilize 6S principles to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Provide production support and serve as backup to the production team when needed.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to support off-shift maintenance needs.
Qualifications
  • College training in industrial maintenance or 3–5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret maintenance documentation and equipment manuals.
  • Willingness to provide on-call support outside of regular working hours.
  • Industrial electrical and electronic experience preferred.
  • Siemens PLC experience is a plus.
  • Forklift experience is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
Physical Requirements
  • Frequently lift up to 10 pounds.
  • Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, and balance throughout the workday.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment around production equipment.
