Job summary

Veolia is seeking a Maintenance Technician to diagnose and repair machinery, install and rearrange equipment, and run a preventive maintenance program across assigned assets. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and efficiency in industrial environments.

Travel to field sites may be required; candidates should be able to work independently, lift and maneuver equipment, and adapt to various facilities including industrial, manufacturing, and power sectors. A high school diploma is required.

Job Description

Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technician will perform proper diagnosis of any malfunctioning machinery, general repairs, install new equipment and systems, and perform a preventive maintenance program on all assigned machinery as directed by the supervisor.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Follow good housekeeping practices by keeping maintenance and tool storage area neat and clean as well as timely cleanup of work area after each job is completed
  • Install new equipment or rearrange existing equipment
  • Is available on call for emergency repairs as needed to keep plant in good running order
  • Maintain preventative maintenance records and perform preventative maintenance on plant and road equipment
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

Required

  • High School Diploma, G.E.D., Home School Certification, or international equivalent to High School Diploma
  • Minimum of 1 year of PVC plumbingOR mechanical repair and maintenance work experience or training
  • Electrical panelboard experience
  • Motor Controls experience
  • Positive displacement pump repair experience

Preferred

  • Trade school experience for electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and/or mechanical repair is highly desired
  • At least 1 year of electrical installation, repair, and maintenance work experience, including electronic troubleshooting, PLC programming, and 480V 3 Phase electrical repair and maintenance experience
  • Electrical Certification

Working Conditions:

  • Travel for field repair and installation if needed
  • Physical duties include lifting, climbing, working at elevated heights, and manual dexterity
  • Work environments may include, but are not limited to, industrial facilities, manufacturing facilities, and power industry facilities
